The Work at Height Regulations 2005 came into effect on 6 April 2005. The main change in this legislation is that work at height is no longer defined as any work carried out at a height over 2 metres but instead applies "to all work at height where there is a risk of a fall liable to cause personal injury." Never before has the subject of Working Safely at Height attracted so much attention. |
||
With the introduction of the Working at Height Regulations, C.D.M., a suite of European Standards and a new British Code of Practice, the subject of providing protection to maintenance workers from all kinds of fall risks has been brought to the fore. Along with the increasing level of focus, the need for a specialist contractor to advise, design and install engineered Fall Protection Systems is often a service that those responsible for the maintenance of a building find invaluable. |
